Media lies: Probing executive privilege, Fast and Furious is racist

http://twitter.com/#!/pollbuster/status/215507970627338241

Sigh.

Attorney General Holder grossly tried to push that narrative himself today, during the first part of the contempt hearing being held over Operation Fast and Furious. Morally bankrupt Democrats don’t seem to understand that people dying due to a government operation that put guns into the hands of Mexican criminals is serious.

No, no. It’s racist!

Holder says investigation by #justbloggers is because he is black, fails to mention hundreds of dead Mexico as result of #fastandfurious

— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) June 20, 2012

Also racist is questioning why the President would invoke executive privilege on something about which he claimed to know nothing.

And his fellow travelers were at the ready to run with it.

@congressmanissa got a #FastandFurious kick by Executive Privilege-House of Rep is no place 4 those w/ hidden agendas and racist overtones

Not an AG Holder fan but glad that PBO invoked his `first` executive privilege to thwart this bullshit `black man` hunt by Issa.

— rσck west (@rokslyde) June 20, 2012

Funny how the #GOP is silent when a Repub POTUS uses Executive Privilege. Black guy does it once and the faux outrage ensues #FastAndFurious

— Admiral Obvious (@DarthWeiner75) June 20, 2012

It's not Executive Privilege Tea Partiers object to, it's Black Executive privilege they have a problem with. #FastAndFurious #Obama #Issa

— Wayne Radcliffe (@wayneradcliffe) June 20, 2012

Claiming executive privilege on Fast and Furious documents has conservatives almost as blind with fury as President being Black.

BUT! President Obama is the first BLACK President to use Executive Privilege…so there's that…for Republicans #p2 #tcot

— BlueTrooth (@BlueTrooth) June 20, 2012

The POTUS isn't "hiding" behind executive privilege. He's trying to end this witch hunt of the 1st black AG.

Not abt Bryan Terry. Never was. Holder has the same problem that POTUS has–he's Black #fastandfurious

— Born a Democrat (@aPolishgirl) June 20, 2012

Let me guess: exerting executive privilege is now a problem because black Presidents are doing it? Predictable.

— Kayla (@KayDubzHU) June 20, 2012

No, honey. Predictable is the tiresome and offensive throwing out of the race card.

Also predictable? The media helping to push that reprehensible false narrative.

Normally when hundreds die. MSNBC is all over it. But because it happened under the Obama Admin, just shut up RACIST! #fastandfurious

— Justen Charters (@JustenCharters) June 20, 2012

MSNBC discussing if Fast and Furious investigation is racist. #Fail

BREAKING UPDATES from @MSNBC: @DonLemonCNN thanks NBC 4 stating obvious: Holder only guilty of GRWB: Gun Runnin While Black #fastandfurious

— Simon Templar (@SimonTemplarPV) June 20, 2012

Heh. The media really is a parody waiting to happen!

@AceofSpadesHQ @twitchypolitics http://t.co/RhbqowsZ I know, it's all too believable

— Simon Templar (@SimonTemplarPV) June 20, 2012

Satire, yes, but that kind of remark would not be surprising from Don Lemon, who has a habit of race-baiting. And then blaming icky conservative blogs and Twitter users.

.@donlemoncnn I did. You cited Donaldson's comments and then said, "Finally, the elephant in the Rose Garden."

— Noel Sheppard (@NoelSheppard) June 18, 2012

.@wdelpilartcot Not bigot, liar. That clip is out of context just like Breitbart's awful site did on Sherrod. Learn lesson. Run entire clip.

— Don Lemon (@donlemon) June 20, 2012

Facts are hard. Mr. Lemon never learned that lesson, evidently.

.@shybullwinkle I never said that. U read it in twitter or a conservative site thus u believe it. Hmm.

— Don Lemon (@donlemon) June 20, 2012

.@wdelpilartcot So sick of people like u w/ agendas. Stop fueling hatred & bigotry by ignoring context & facts. #Disgusting

— Don Lemon (@donlemon) June 20, 2012

Bigot, heal thyself. Let’s see what he will say about this. Will he call racism the “elephant in the Rose Garden” like he did when President Obama was interrupted?

Chris “leg tingles” Matthews actually does whip out the race card immediately.

Fast and Furious investigation is racist? people died you moron. @hardball_chris Obama knew hence executive privilege #tingleisgone

— ComfyPaws™ (@ComfyPaws) June 20, 2012

Brian Terry’s family would like to know why you are revoltingly using his death to play the race card, Mr. Matthews.

Serial RACIST Chris Matthews: Fast and Furious investigation is racist | http://t.co/gdsmdLAh http://t.co/oqUzVY39

— FloridaTEAParty (@TEAParty_FL) June 20, 2012

More from the Washington Examiner:

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, a former Jimmy Carter aide, suggested that the congressional investigation into Attorney General Eric Holder’s handling of Operation Fast and Furious is motivated by racism.

“I don’t want to start too much forest fire here but it is my instinct: is this ethnic?” Matthews asked San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown last night. “It smells like it to me and I think there is a disdain on the part of some Republicans . . . that do talk down to the president and his friends,” Matthews added.

Brown, earlier in the segment, had already accused Issa of “leading a lynch-like mob” against Holder.

Holder made the same accusation in December. “This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder told the New York Times, “both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.”

And earlier today, a CNN article treated the assertion that the contempt hearing was just to “embarrass the President” as fact.

Disgusting. Once again, Leftists are using minorities for a political end. While doing so, they are grossly diminishing true acts of racism by crying racist-wolf incessantly and tossing out the race card willy-nilly. If everything is racist, then nothing is. Members of the media are not just complicit; they are active perpetrators.

Post-racial doesn’t mean that everything in the entire world should be about race. People have died. This government operation was deadly. The investigation of Operation Fast and Furious is about truth and justice. Try a little of that sometime, Leftists and your buddies in the media.

Update: Roland Martin weighs in as well.

This shameful attack on Attorney General Eric Holder by Rep. Issa is pathetic. This isn't about principle. It's pure politics

— rolandsmartin (@rolandsmartin) June 20, 2012

@rolandsmartin So you're officially insulting Brian Terry's family. Wow.

— Jim Treacher (@jtLOL) June 20, 2012

As did MSNBC’s Al “blood on his hands” Sharpton.
